Museum’s Story
On 18 June 2011, the Eduard Tubin Museum officially opened its doors with a festive concert at Alatskivi Castle.
The Eduard Tubin Museum was completed in spring 2011 in rooms on the second floor of Alatskivi Castle, through cooperation between Alatskivi Municipality and the Estonian Theatre and Music Museum, with support from the Enterprise Estonia (EAS) Regional Competitiveness Programme.
As part of an expansion in 2012, wax figures of Eduard Tubin and his wife were installed in the museum.
On 18 June 2022, marking the 117th anniversary of Eduard Tubin’s birth, the exhibition “Tubin’s Car” was opened in the carriage house located next to Alatskivi Castle.
