Permanent Exhibition

The Eduard Tubin Museum in Alatskivi Castle was completed in spring 2011 through cooperation between Alatskivi Municipality and the Estonian Theatre and Music Museum. The museum exhibition provides a comprehensive overview of the life and work of Eduard Tubin, one of Estonia’s most renowned composers.

To mark the 120th anniversary of Eduard Tubin’s birth, the travelling exhibition “Tubin’s Time Windows” was opened in the Tubin’s Car exhibition space.

The Eduard Tubin Museum in Alatskivi Castle was completed in spring 2011 through cooperation between Alatskivi Municipality and the Estonian Theatre and Music Museum. The museum exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of the life and work of Eduard Tubin, one of Estonia’s most renowned composers.
The museum presents Tubin’s manuscripts, recordings, and books for viewing and listening, introduces the interpreters of his music, and displays musical instruments associated with Tubin, as well as records and theatre set designs. Visitors can also view films and photographs created by Tubin himself.
The chamber hall hosts lectures and concerts. Via an information terminal, visitors can access a complete catalogue of Tubin’s works, browse a virtual exhibition created for his 100th anniversary, and explore a virtual photo album.
